Paneer sandwich

Ingredients

Paneer - 100 grams
Onion  - 1 ( small or medium)
Capsicum - 1/2
Pepper powder  - 1/4 teaspoon
Spices powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Green chilly  - 1
Ginger garlic paste  - 2 teaspoon
Red chilly powder  - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala  - 1/2 teaspoon
Tomato  sauce  - 1 tablespoon
Brown bread - 1 pack
Salt
Oil

In a pan, add one tablespoon of oil. Now add finely chopped onion.  Saute it well in low to medium flame until it turns to light  brown in color. Add finely chopped  green chilly and capsicum. Saute it again for two minutes. Add red chilly powder, garam masala,  pepper powder,  spices  powder  and salt.  Saute it for a minute. Finally  add scrambled paneer and tomato  sauce.  Cook it for  a minute. Keep this filling separate. 


Green peas Masala

Ingredients

Green peas - 200 grams
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 3 cloves
Red chilly powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Kashmiri chilly powder  - 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander  powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala  - 1 teaspoon
Water - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Oil
Salt

In a cooker, add water and green peas. Keep it aside. Pressure cook it for two whistles. In a pan, add two tablespoons of oil. Once it is hot, add 1 teaspoon  mustard  seeds. Once they start poppoing, add curry leaves. Now add  chopped ginger and garlic. Saute it  for few seconds.


Then add finely sliced onions. Saute it for 5 to 6 minutes  in medium flame  until it becomes lights brown in color.  Make sure not to increase the flame and this will take some  time. Now add all the masala to this. Red chilly,  turmeric, coriander,  garam masala  and Kashmiri chilli powder for some colour. Saute it again for a minute. After this add sliced tomatoes. Saute  it again for 2 - 3 minutes. Once it starts to separate from the oil,  add half cooked green peas and salt. Allow it to cook for 5 - 6 minutes in medium flame. Add salt as per  taste. Green peas curry is ready. It goes well with  Appam and chapatti. Add water if you need  more gravy also try to mash green peas slightly to get a  better taste.  Please try the recipe.

Palak Paneer


Ingredients



Paneer - 200 grams
Onion - 2
Cashew nuts - 15
Palak (Spinach) - 300 grams
Ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 4 cloves
Water - 1/4 cup
Red chilly Powder - 2 teaspoon
Oil
Salt


Clean spinach in water. Drain off the water completely. In a pan or vessel, add 1/4 cup water. Once it starts boiling, add palak . Cover the vessel with a lid and let it cook in low flame for 2 to 4 minutes. Keep this aside.

In a separate pan, add 4 table spoon of water. Add the first sliced onion in this and let it cook for two to three minutes. Switch off the flame and transfer this in a grinder to make a thick paste along with cashew nuts.

Meanwhile heat a pan. Add 2 table spoon of oil. Add the second sliced onion to this. Saute it until it becomes golden brown in color. Add ginger, garlic paste. Saute it again for a minute. Now add Red chilly powder and salt. Saute it again for few seconds. Now add Onion, Cashew nuts paste to it. And let it cook for a minute. Finally add Palak paste and paneer. Mix it well. Allow it to cook for 2 to three minutes.


Add extra water if you like gravy. Palak paneer is tasty with less water and also try  adding Kashmiri red chilly if you don't like the green color.
